“I started training at MAI nearly 4 years ago as my brother wanted to try kickboxing so I tagged along as I wanted to get fit again as id got quite lazy after finishing playing football and had never really stuck to a regular fitness routine since then. It’s the best idea he’s ever had! I’ve loved every minute of training at MAI. Started off training in D15 and now mostly doing classes with Rob. Have done various other classes and seminars with Louise Barry Eddie James and Declan and although each instructor has their own unique approach one things remains constant and that’s excellence. I love the variety of the classes and constantly being able to learn new skills while improving fitness. It’s an inspiration being able to train with such highly skilled instructors who have achieved so much yet still strive daily for personal improvement, they’re enthusiasm is infectious. “MAI is one of those places that’s for everyone. I hate exercise, I’m lazy and have always been crap at sports. But I needed to lose weight, so I allowed myself be dragged to MAI. Now I love it. It is absolutely pitched at your level, whatever level that is and no one is judging you; everyone is cheering you on. If you want to spar and gets belts – fabulous! If you want to have the craic – fabulous! Either way, you’ll get fit and have fun. I can’t recommend it enough.”

“I have been training at Mai for about 2 and a half years now. I started off training in d15 doing kickboxing and mma just with the goal of improving my fitness. But I quickly found my self down in the club a lot thanks to the friendly environment Mai has. Now I train in both d15 and d7 with rob and Louise. Thanks to the wide varity of class times available including lunch time classes, it’s easy to find time to get a good work out in. Thanks to all the help I have received from all the instructors I have noticed a big improvement in my fitness and skill level. After returning to Ireland from living and training in Oz for a year I can say I really did miss the training and crack at Mai so there was no other club I would have wanted to join but Mai. After seeing and training in some top gyms in both Thailand and Austria I can honestly say the environment in Mai is second to none.”

“I have been training at MAI now for roughly 3 years, started off in Blackrock and moved onto Brunswick Street. So the question any potential member should ask is – “Why should I train there when I am a member of a gym already ?- I am getting enough exercise as it is.” Simple answer is that you end up getting Very fit and learning a new skill too, rather than just doing endless and sometimes pointless exercises in a gym. Over time you will notice your energy, fitness and flexibility increasing. The trainers there constantly push all their clients into giving it 100% in training. Also, roughly 70% of the classes are “non-contact” so there is no risk of getting injured. There are light contact sparring classes available also. Everyone has always imagined what it is like to step into a boxing ring. After a few rounds it is difficult to even hold your hands up let alone throw a punch!! Join up now and see for yourself, you wont be disappointed.”

“We want to thank everybody at Martial Arts Inc for the great experience they have allowed us to make in their Studio. When we started organising sporting activities for young people (age 14-23), we soon realised that community groups are not welcome everywhere. “After practicing Karate for 15 years it was a very sad day for me when the club I loved had to close due to unforeseen circumstances. I did an extensive search for a new place to train but nothing came close to the level of teaching, innovation and friendliness I had previously experienced. 5 years ago my search for a new club ended when I met Robert Devane at a martial arts demonstration. From the moment I entered Martial Arts Inc you could feel the energy and positivity coming from both students and instructors alike and I was welcomed like I was an old friend.
